Pasta in the heart of Tuscany since 1893
Original purchase contract of the plot of land in the square of Strada in Chianti, where Pastificio Fabbri is still today.
The history of our company started in the last decade of the Nineteenth century, when our great-great-grandfather Giovanni Fabbri bought a plot of land in the main square of Strada in Chianti, and established a milling, pasta making and grocery business. In order to get rid of the authority of his father, Giovanni Fabbri put the business at his wife’s name, thus creating a new family group in compliance with the laws of that period.

Generations: Renzo 3rd – Giovanni 1st – Livio 2nd
During World War II, many machineries were mined and blown up, like the mill and the hoven for bread, or pasta makers with vertical press, thus depriving the country of a great part of heir sustenance. Fortunately, part of the building and of machineries survived allowing the pasta making activity to keep working, still keeping the same passion and attention to quality of the beginning.
Nowadays the company is made of two generations: the old one (4th) represented by Giovanni, who leads the company with the knowledge he inherited, and a new generation (5th), Marco and Lisa, who are trying to make this knowledge available to anyone.
